Jeremy Clarkson says: “Farmers are facing so many issues at the moment and hosting Cereals was our chance to do something positive for the industry and showcase some practical advice and ideas for food producers. We hope to shine a spotlight on farming in the UK and educate people about the challenges farmers face.”

Cereals aims to equip farmers with the latest knowledge, ideas, and technology to help them embrace all the challenges and opportunities that will arise in the coming years.

Visit our talk – Smarter Root Crop Storage: Lessons from 1,000+ Stores

About the talk
Think your potato or onions store is running efficiently? You might be surprised. Many stores look efficient from the outside but still suffer hidden losses. After visiting over a thousand root crop stores, our speaker has seen firsthand how growers lose saleable yield, even in well-equipped setups. With energy costs rising and margins under pressure, storage performance matters more than ever.

This session shares what forward-thinking UK growers are doing differently to reduce losses and protect their crop quality. Our agronomic storage specialist Frank van der Linden will share his experience, tips and solutions to improve the efficiency of your store.

Date / time
You can visit the talk at the Young Farmers Programme on Wednesday 10th June between 10:00AM – 10:30AM.
